JeScan is a one-person product built to solve a problem I kept having: I'd scan an important document, then spend 20 minutes searching for it months later. JeScan uses AI to classify, extract metadata, and make every document searchable — so you never lose a document again.
The story
The lost receipt
A plumber invoice needed for insurance — scanned months ago, buried in a phone gallery with 3,000 photos. That frustration planted the seed.
JeScan v1 — Flutter app
First version as a native mobile app. Good scanning, but the organization problem wasn't solved. Documents still got lost in folders.
JeScan v2 — AI-native
Complete rebuild as a web app with AI at the core. Claude classifies every document, extracts metadata, and makes everything searchable. The post-scan problem, solved.

I'm a freelance developer based in Lomé, Togo. I build client projects during the day and work on JeScan because I genuinely need it — every receipt, contract, and ID I scan goes through JeScan first.
Being the first user means I feel every friction point. If something is slow, I notice. If a document gets misclassified, I fix the AI pipeline the same day. JeScan gets better because I use it every day.

Encrypted at rest, isolated per user, never used to train AI. We don't sell data. Period.
